It is a condition of your use of the PAERS software that you read the disclaimer of liability below and accept the terms thereof. As the disclaimer affects your legal rights you should not accept these Terms of Use unless you fully understand the terms of the disclaimer.

These Terms of Use apply to the Website www.i-patient.net and any of our Apps that you may download.

If you do not agree to these Terms of Use then you must not use the service, including accessing any Apps or the Website.

These Terms of Use must be read in conjunction with our Privacy Charter, Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy.

PAERS Limited is not responsible for the accuracy, quality and use of information which can be accessed and viewed by a User of the i-Patient software. PAERS Limited excludes all liability to the Licensee - in most cases your GP Practice - (and any and all third parties) who may view information using the i-Patient software in respect of all damage howsoever caused (except for death and physical injury directly arising from correct use of the software) by (i) software loaded by PAERS Limited thereon, (ii) viewing any information which may be accessed and viewed using the i-Patient software and (iii) any other cause whether direct or indirect.

The following information (whether accurate or not) describes the Terms of Use of the i-Patient Website or any Apps that you may have downloaded which may be accessed and viewed by a User of the i-Patient software for which PAERS Limited accepts no liability for information on health advice, therapy, diagnosis and or treatment in patient information leaflets and or the information contained in medical notes, consultation records and or other records and or information which may be viewed on Websites which may be accessed by and displayed on the i-Patient software.

Personal and Non-Commercial use Limitation

This Website is for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, disassemble, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or sell any information, products or services obtained from this Website. You may not copy any element of the Website or any Apps that you may download except where such copying is incidental to the normal use of the Website or App or where it is part of a general back up routine where you must undertake to keep all backups secure. This is your personal data and you are now responsible for its security.

This does not affect any statutory rights as a consumer.

Use of our Apps

These Terms of Use apply to your use of the service and are not dependent on the type of device on which you view i-Patient. When you use Apps you will also be subject to the Appstore Rules. If Appstore Rules are inconsistent with these Terms of Use, these Terms of Use will apply.

No Unlawful or Prohibited use

As a condition of your use of this Website, you warrant to PAERS that you will not use the i-Patient Website or any of our Apps which you may have downloaded for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these Terms of Use, our Privacy Charter, Privacy Policy or our Cookie Policy.

In addition, you must not:

  • Breach any local, national or international or regulation which is applicable
  • Transmit any viruses or computer code of any kind where you know them to be present
  • Transmit any information that is offensive or defamatory in any way
  • Infringe our intellectual Property Rights

Your GP Practice

Your GP Practice may not have signed up to all i-Patient services and is able to activate and deactivate certain elements or all of the i-Patient service. This may apply to some or all patients. This may impact on your ability to use the service and if this happens you should take this up directly with your Practice. i-Patient has no control over how Practices decide to interact with the i-Patient services.

In the event that i-Patient becomes unavailable, you should always have other means of connecting with your GP Practice.

Modification of These Terms and Conditions

PAERS reserves the right to change the terms, conditions, and notices under which this Website is offered.

Access to the i-Patient Service

We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted or always be available. We may suspend or withdraw the service, or discontinue the service at our discretion. Changes to the service will take place regularly and these Terms of Use require that you check from time-to-time for updates which may require you to download the latest version of the App or accepted changes to the Terms of Use.


This agreement is governed by the laws of England. You hereby consent to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts in all disputes arising out of or relating to the use of this Website and any of our Apps which you have downloaded. Use of this Website is unauthorised in any jurisdiction that does not give effect to all provisions of these Terms of Use, including without limitation this paragraph.

PAERS's performance of this agreement is subject to existing laws and legal process, and nothing contained in this agreement is in derogation of PAERS's right to comply with law enforcement requests or requirements relating to your use of this Website or any of our Apps which you have downloaded or information provided to or gathered by PAERS with respect to such use.

If any part of these Terms of Use is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law including, but not limited to, the warranty disclaimers and liability limitations set forth above, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed superseded by a valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the agreement shall continue in effect.

This agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the User and PAERS with respect to this Website and it supersedes all prior or contemporaneous communications and proposals, whether electronic, oral, or written, between the User and PAERS with respect to this Website. A printed version of this agreement and of any notice given in electronic form shall be admissible in judicial or administrative proceedings based upon or relating to this agreement to the same extent and subject to the same conditions as other business documents and records originally generated and maintained in printed form.
